Grade Center
Exporting your Blackboard Gradebook works a little differently if you are using a newer version of Internet Explorer (6.0 or above). To export the file in the correct format (csv) so it can be read in Excel, you need to right click on the "Get Exported Gradebook" link instead of following the "Viewing and Saving" instrutions. After you right click, choose "save target as" and then you can open the gradebook in Excel.

Easy: 1. Open the Add Calculated Column contextual menu on the Action Bar. 2. Select Weighted Column. 3. Select all the columns and categories and click the arrow to add all columns to the Selected Columns area. 4. Enter a percentage for each. This calculates the total grade using the weights set here. Advanced: You can create Weighted Columns that only calculate the weight for a set of columns or categories. These Weighted Columns can then be used to calculate another Weighted Column or Total Column to get the final grade.

The easiest way is to download your Bb Grade Center to Excel and print from there. Just click on "Download Grades" option from the Bb spreadsheet view and save it to a disk or your hard drive.
We encourage instructors to routinely backup their gradebook to Excel anyway, just in case...
