How do I change the name of the links on the course navigation menu?

Follow the steps below to change the name to a menu item on your course navigation menu.

Step 1: Open the course Control Panel

Step 2: Click Manage Course Menu under the Course Options area

Step 3: Click the Modify button next to the name of an item (i.e., Course Documents)

Step 4: In the Area Name field type in a new name

Step 5: Click Submit

How do I add a new content link to the main course navigation menu of my Blackboard class?

Follow the steps below to change the name to a menu item on your course navigation menu.

Step 1: Open the course Control Panel

Step 2: Click Manage Course Menu under the Course Options area

Step 3: Click the Add Content Area button

Step 4: In the Area Name field type in a new name or select one from the drop-down list

Step 5: Click Submit

How do I add a direct link to Groups or Chat to the main course navigation menu?

Follow the steps below to change the name to a menu item on your course navigation menu.

Step 1: Open the course Control Panel

Step 2: Click Manage Course Menu under the Course Options area

Step 3: Click the Add Tool link button on the top menu
Step 4: In the Type field, select the tool you want to add (Ex: Dropbox, My Grade, Groups, etc. and then type in a name in the Name field

Step 5: Click Submit

I do not intend to post any information under the Assignments area. How do I remove that link from my course menu?

Follow the steps below to remove an item from your default course menu.

Step 1: Open the course Control Panel

Step 2: Click Manage Course Menu under the Course Options area

Step 3: Click the Remove button next to the name of an item (i.e., Assignments)

Step 5: Click Submit
