Course Creation
The process for requesting and updating Blackboard courses is changing with the release of Blackboard 6. Blackboard 5 courses will not automatically be migrated to Blackboard 6. Instructors who want to reuse content from the previous version of Blackboard will need to complete a course copy request form for each Blackboard 5 course they want moved to Blackboard 6.

You must be listed as the instructor within Banner before a Blackboard course will be created. To verify if you have been added as the instructor within Banner, check to see if your name is listed within the DU course schedule of classes. If your name is not listed next to the course, contact the Assistant to the Chair, or the person in your department who is responsible for updating course information in Banner.
Once you have been added as the instructor, it will take 24 hours for your Blackboard course to be created.
