Blackboard was upgraded to a new version (release 8) on June 13, 2009.
What's New in Blackboard 8?
Below is a summary of the new features included in this release of Blackboard. The most significant change in Blackboard 8 is the new gradebook. The gradebook has been totally redesigned in this release and is now called the Grade Center. Click on the links below for more information about the new Grade Center:

Blackboard Scholar
Scholar is a social bookmarking solution built into Blackboard. Scholar allows you to store and share “academic” bookmarks online. Click on the link below to visit the scholar website.

Please note that Mozilla Firefox versions 2.0 and 3.0 are the web browsers that have been fully tested and fully supported for Blackboard 8 for both Windows XP and Windows Vista operating systems. Apple Safari 2 is the web browser that has been fully tested and is fully supported for Mac 10.4 and Mac 10.5 end users.
