How do I access Blackboard?

You may access Blackboard by clicking on the Courses tab within WebCentral or by logging on to Blackboard directly at http://blackboard.du.edu. Your Blackboard username is your DU ID number and your Blackboard password is your DU password.

I need to drop my class. How do I unenroll through Blackboard?

You CANNOT drop your class through Blackboard. Please contact the registrar at 871-GOAL or http://www.du.edu/registrar to officially drop your course.

When I log into Blackboard, not all of the courses I am taking this quarter show up in Blackboard. Who should I contact?

Not all of your instructors may be using Blackboard. Please check with your instructor to confirm that they are using Blackboard. If your instructor is teaching with Blackboard but the course does not appear by the first day of classes, email blackboard@du.edu with the name of the course and the name of the instructor and we will research the problem for you. There may be a delay with the linkage from within WebCentral to Blackboard so you may also want to try logging into Blackboard directly at http://blackboard.du.edu.

How do I send my instructor my paper using the Blackboard Digital Drop Box?

Click on the Course Tools link on your Blackboard course menu, then select Digital Drop Box. Click the "Send File" button, browse for the file you wish to send and click submit. If you choose to use the Add File option, it will not be sent to your instructor until you also send the file.

When I put my course CD in my CD drive and click on the link to the movie clip in Blackboard, it doesn't work. How do I view links to a movie clip within Blackboard from my class CD?

If you have trouble accessing the movie clip, you may need to change your CD Drive letter in the Personal Information editor. Click the Course Tools link to the left, then select Personal Information and click on Set CD-ROM Drive option. Select the CD-ROM drive for your computer. If you are unsure of your CD Drive letter, double click on the My Computer Icon on your desktop to locate the CD Drive letter. If the movie clip is a Quick Time Movie, the Quick Time Player must be installed on your computer to view the movie. You can download a free Quick Time Player at http://www.apple.com/quicktime/.

My instructor has posted my Grades on Blackboard. Where do I go to find my grades?

To access your grades posted in your Blackboard course, click the Course Tools link on the Blackboard course menu and click on the My Grades link. Any of your grades posted in Blackboard should be visible. You will only be able to view your own grades. Please note, not all instructors use the Blackboard grade book to post student grades, so this option may not be available depending on the course.
